Technologies
At the heart of Transsol's RAMS technologies is the RaCom database; a fully configurable web based asset management tool used for in-service reliability demonstration testing (RDT) and reliability centred maintenance (RCM) programmes.
The RaCom database was developed as part of a bespoke Failure Modes and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) developed to collate in-service fault data from distributed electrical and mechanical plant in a robust and consistent manner. The FRACS has been implemented on the Athens Metro and London Underground systems to measure systems' in-service reliability performance as part of reliability centred maintenance (RCM) programmes. This is the subject of published papers presented at IET conferences.
The product is easily tailored to specific equipment, systems and applications and provides:
- Secure, reliable and auditable record of the testing
- Real time analysis of the test data
- Automatic calculation of system reliability and availability
- Real time monitoring of system RAM performance
- Monitoring of maintenance performance
- Trend analysis
- Trend analysis
Future developments will include integration with remote monitoring equipment to provide a complete predictive maintenance facility and the ability to prevent in-service failures of mission critical assets.
