Transsol’s core expertise lies in systems engineering, systems assurance and asset reliability performance.
We have a fundamental understanding of the underlying dependencies between each of these inter-related disciplines which, together with our engineering heritage, has enabled us to develop a unique approach to monitoring and measuring asset performance.
At the heart of our unique methodology lies the RaCom database, evolved from our know-how and experience working with world class organisations on prestigious projects.
Our professionally qualified consultants have the rare ability to reconcile complex issues into structured, logical and coherent elements which combine to enable our customers to deliver successful projects.
Specialising in the planning, implementation and delivery of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS) and reliability demonstration programmes we have worked with many top UK and European companies. We have an excellent, proven, reputation for providing consultancy and solutions geared to meeting compliance with contractual, safety and/or regulatory requirements in terms of asset safety and performance.
RaCom is much more than just another asset management tool. It is the heart of a bespoke and unique Fault Recording and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) designed to enable a wide range of incident data to be collated and recorded in a rigorous and entirely consistent manner. It is the rigour and consistency behind the mechanism of data definition, data management and data collation that provides coherent and meaningful end results; this is what provides the real value add.
The RaCom asset management system provides the means to store, manage and analyse in-service asset performance data from which automatic calculations of in-service reliability are performed; the results are presented in whatever format is required. Being web based and accessed via a secure ULR provides the means whereby access to the data is available to any authorised person with varying levels of access permitted through managed user accounts.
The system is fully configurable to the extent that it does what you want rather than giving you what it does.
There is an old adage that says 'rubbish in equals rubbish out'; the converse is also true in that 'quality in equals quality out'. This is the ethos behind the whole FRACAS in that it removes, completely, the possibility for 'rubbish in'. With 'quality in', and a system designed to meet specific customer requirements, the 'value add' in terms of optimised inspection and maintenance routines and reduced whole life costs is very significant.
The benefits of utilising our system for your asset management and asset performance programmes can be summarised as:
The basic methodology behind the overall FRACAS has been presented at a number of International Conferences organised by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and is summarised in the paper which can be downloaded here.
