Appointed by Honeywell Hellas as the independent safety assessor for safety related hardware/software systems being supplied by Honeywell for the Athens Metro Line 3 northbound extension stations’ project.

Undertook a detailed assessment of safety related software against the requirements of European Standard EN50128.

Athens Metro – Overall Systems Safety Case

The system has been successfully deployed on the Athens Metro lines 2 and 3 extension projects where it has been in use since 2005 to provide an accurate measure of in-service reliability performance of distributed electrical and mechanical plant to validate this performance against contractual and safety targets.

It is also being used on London Underground to validate the results of a reliability centred maintenance assessment undertaken by Transsol, to optimise the inspection/maintenance activities on safety critical train protection systems.

All RAMS, RDT and EMC analyses, activities and deliverables for all electrical and mechanical plant required for the operational railway.

This is a fixed price contract.

Specialising in the production of railway safety cases and reliability analyses it has developed a web based tool for implementing a robust in-service reliability.
